West Hampstead Thamslink network
Work Description: West Hampstead Thamslink Station is situated between Kentish Town and Cricklewood on the Midland Mail Line. The Network Rail Thamslink Programme had to increase the passenger capacity on the Thamslink route by providing 12 Cars trains. To allow 12 Car train operation at this station, it was necessary to extend all the four platforms to have a minimum length of 245m. Accordingly, it was proposed to extend platform 1 by 79m, platform 2/3 by 85/82m and platform 4 by 73m.
Softech Scope of work: GRIP5, Production of signalling designs with signalling modifications, detailed design for the above work included site surveys, correlation and production of Signalling design specifications. Design of staged scheme plans, location designs with power calculations, modifications to control tables, multicore cable plan, bonding plans and through circuits for various stages.
The work was carried out in 3 stages, all the designs in connection with the above work were carried out in accordance with NR Standards and Softech successfully commissioned all the 3 stages.

All personnel undertaking signalling design activities on this scheme were competent in their allocated tasks.
Softech successfully delivered all designs within target and to the full satisfaction of the client and received excellent Feedback from Network Rail UK.
